Training is a waste of time

“We are wasting our money on training” said one board member.

“They are disloyal and lazy people who don’t care about our organization and as soon as we train and develop them, they leave to our competitors.”

A short but heavy silence finally was broken by hesitant voice;

“Imagine if we didn’t train them and they stayed with us?!”.

  1. This sounds like the dental group that I have just left!!! If you don’t treat your staff with thought & consideration, as well as giving them useful & efficient training, they will not develop into the team that you want or need.
    You have to treat them with respect & loyalty to recoup that after the training.
    There is an old fashioned saying that is absolutely true, ‘you have to give to receive!’.
