Dental lab gets the taste for growth (from The Star)
Leading UK dental laboratory S4S is expanding after securing a six-figure loan from The Royal Bank of Scotland.
The two men have worked for the business, which supplies a range of dental appliances for the treatment of snoring, interrupted breathing while sleeping and excessive grinding of the teeth or jaw clenching, since it was launched in 2005.
Five years ago they staged a management at the firm, which also produces orthodontic devices, designed to improve crooked or abnormally arranged teeth.
The move to the Acorn Business Park will allow S4S to double in size and provide it with the latest technology and advanced facilities.
Neil Bullement says S4S’s success during the last two years has been fuelled by the launch of its Smilelign system for aligning teeth and means it is now running out of space.
“Funding from RBS has enabled us to purchase the new site which provides additional security because our current premises are rented,” said Mr Bullement.
“The bank have been extremely supportive and enabled us to more than double our work space.
RBS relationship manager David Fielding said: “S4S is an impressive local business operating in a niche market.
“They are focused on educating dentists and the medical profession on the effectiveness and use of their products which are all manufactured on site in Sheffield.
“The move will help them to strengthen their workforce and increase their production to meet increased demands for their products and services.”
